How to use the click2revive program.
Before activating the program read the terms and conditions and privacy notice.
- Make sure your computer is connected to the internet and your work is saved. Then go to downloads and Install Frame work if required (this may take time depending on the speed of your computer) and Download for the click2revive popup.
- The icon for the click2revive popup will be seen as a white arrow in the system tray on your pc.
- Right clicking on the arrow will bring up the properties box for the pop up.
- Set the time you want popup to first appear on your screen (recommended 90 minutes). This will be the first prompt every day 90 minutes after you start work, this is when your body starts to feel stress) and then set the regular exercise reminder for 30 minutes or so to suit your work pattern.
- Tick the box if you prefer popup to slide in at the left hand side of your screen, leaving it blank will prompt popup to slide in at the right. Press the show popup button to view.
- On the popup you will see a list these are the timed exercise breaks by pressing on (example 2 minutes) this will take you to the; 2 minutes exercise break page on the web site. You will see a list of five exercises that can be practiced sitting at your computer and a timer.
- Start the timer when you are ready and try to do the exercises in that time, (the aim of the break is to get you to move around and revive your vital organs) you will find the exercise easier each time you visit the page. The exercises on these pages are picked at random by the computer so they will change each time the page is visited. The 5 and 10 minute break exercises are for printing out so you can use the exercises in your rest and lunch breaks.
- The popup model has bullet points on the body areas that relate to the stress points when working on a computer. Double click on the bullet point related to the discomfort on your body and you will be taken into the web page (example press the head point and it will take you into the headache relief techniques page). Here you will find one technique for you to try, if that particular technique only partly works then press the button and try the next one and so on till you find one that works for you. Press hand area if you have hand problems and so on. Press all the bullet points to familiarise your self with them.
- Clicking on the Stress Relief takes you to the stress relief technique page. These techniques are here to help you chill out, the more you practice the easier it will become to relax. Try each one for a week and then change to another till you find the one that works for you.
- On each page the model will be shown so you can at anytime change from doing timed exercises to body part exercises as the need may be.
- When you are engrossed in your work, and feel the need for relief in between breaks or (have just ignored popup and carried on working). You can activate popup (for example neck pain) simply by a click on the white arrow in your systems tray. Press show popup and then double click on the bullet point on the model. The page will then display neck and shoulder or the relevant exercises to help relieve the tension.
- It will take approximately 2 weeks for your mind and body to become accustomed to using the program and feel the real benefits, so please be patient.
